6 month contract FinOps Program Manager working with the Cloud Infrastructure team of a global enterprise organization

Contract FinOps Program Manager role.
Hybrid work available in Vancouver, 3 days a week onsite.

What & Why:

As a result of growth our 100% cloud client, is looking for a FinOps Program Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and evolving our cloud cost optimization capability, ensuring cost efficiency, and driving financial performance across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that align with our business goals. In this role you will drive Cloud Cost Optimizations across cloud platforms primarily AWS and Azure. You’ll create and run related initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally and report on progress. You’ll also design and develop strategy for cost management, savings opportunities and build consolidated view to track initiatives running across the organization, potential savings and executive summary.

They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment, 3 days a week on site.

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role with executive exposure.
Deep experience with Cloud Cost Optimization.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Proven track record of managing and optimizing financial operations in a large-scale organization with cloud budgets exceeding $20M.
FinOps Practitioner certification preferred.

Compensation:

This role pays between $95-115 per hour.
