Data Architect

As a result of investment in technology, our client is looking to add a Data Architect to their data and analytics team to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in Snowflake and PowerBI, and the ability to collaborate across functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and resilience of data architecture.  In this role you will conduct comprehensive analysis to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient data solutions.  You will also translate business requirements into Snowflake databases, data warehouses, and data streams to support data-driven decision-making. You will also be responsible to analyze, plan, and define data architecture frameworks, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data management.  This is a rapidly growing team delivering huge ROI to the business.

They have invested majorly in technology and have had an incredibly successful past few years, including a major strategic acquisition. They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment, 3 days a week in office.

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 4+ years experience as a data architect in an enterprise environment
• Proven expertise in Snowflake and PowerBI.
• Strong understanding of data architecture frameworks, security, and governance best practices.
• Experience working with large-scale data solutions, data warehouses, and data streams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex solutions for both engineering and executive audiences.
• Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams with dependencies on other domains and enterprise data initiatives.

Compensation:

This role pays between $100-120 per hour.
