As a Certified Career Development Practitioner ( CCDP ), you equip our clients with the resources, tools, and skills they need to succeed in their career goals. Monday to Friday.
Variable shifts which will include some Wednesday and Thursday evenings and, on occasion, Saturdays for community events
This is a full-time contract 35 hours per week.

WHAT IT TAKES
WAGE SUBSIDY :
•Assist with client registration and wage subsidy applications.
•Review wage subsidy legal agreements for accuracy and completeness.
•Assist employers with claims and documentation.
•Follow up with employers to ensure that claims are submitted on-time.
•Conduct wage subsidy on-site monitoring.
•Ensure that documentation is entered and updated within our Client Relations Management System ( ICM ).
•Update internal tracking system to assist with forecasting expenditures.
•Assist with providing vacation coverage for team members.
RESOURCE CENTRE :
•Assist with greeting visitors, answer inquiries and direct appropriately.
•Assist Clients with completion of their on-line applications
•Support clients with computers and troubleshooting simple problems when required.
•Provide responses to electronic and telephone inquiries about WorkBC Services.
•One-to-one coaching with resume writing, job search techniques, career planning materials, assessment tools and other resources.
•Communication with Career Coaches and Employment Placement Specialists to keep them informed about any challenges arising from a placement.
•Collaborate and case conference with the team to enhance service delivery and client support.
•Attend and participate in team meetings.
•Follow and contribute to Douglas College's ISO 9001 quality management system
•Provide monthly reports to the Centre Manager on program activities
•Carry out miscellaneous administrative tasks as required to support the team and Client service delivery.
Experience
•Customer service experience, where helping clients feel welcome and supported is a focus.
•Familiarity with employment services and work with clients who have complex barriers such as mental health, disability, long-term unemployment.
•Experience using government reporting and database systems is preferred.
•Experience assisting employers in creating realistic training plans.
•Demonstrated ability to meet performance-based targets.
•Strong communication skills
• Interpersonal skills: Ability to establish rapport and maintain professional relationships.
• Problem-solving abilities: Skill in identifying and resolving issues that may arise with an employer after the legal agreement has been signed.
• Technological proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite and online meeting platforms and the ability to efficiently learn new software tools.
• Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple client files, maintain records, and conduct follow up.
