Job Summary

The Team
Our Strategic Mental Health and Substance Use Data Priorities team is dedicated to improving the quality of mental health and substance use data across the province. We lead initiatives that foster collaboration with health authorities, other ministries, and organizations involved in this vital work. By building a provincial data hub and creating supporting resources, we aim to enhance data-driven decision-making and support a more inclusive, equitable mental health and substance use community. We're a flexible, passionate team that welcomes diverse perspectives and expertise.

The Role
As the Manager, you will lead the development of the Mental Health and Substance Use Analytic Ready Object, a groundbreaking data product that links vital information across health and non-health sectors making data accessible for diverse users. You'll also create a centralized resource for methodologies and manage the data roadmap and you'll help ensure key datasets are integrated to improve outcomes for those facing mental health and substance use challenges. This role drives innovation and collaboration, offering you the opportunity to shape how mental health and substance use services are delivered province-wide.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Master's Degree or higher in Economics or a specialized field of economics (e.g., Economic Development, Financial Economics, International Economics) ; OR
  • An equivalent level of education in a closely related field (e.g., Health Administration, Statistics, Mathematics) and
  • Three years of related experience.

Related Experience includes:
  • Experience conducting and leading major and complex projects.

Preferences:
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with health care-related data
