Job Summary

The Team
The Physician Payments Analytics team is an established team which is comprised of 2 Senior Managers, 3 senior economists, 1 health information consultant, and 3 data analysts. This team is part of the Primary Care, Acute Care, and Workforce Analytics Branch. This team and the strategic projects they oversee directly impact the labour market of the health care professionals in BC, which in turn, influences access to health care for all British Columbians. This team brings an amazing level of care and attention to their work, with a deep respect for the responsibility they have to the people of BC and how they are able to access the health care they require.

The Role
The Director leads the team, using innovative approaches to guide the design and development of analytics, monitoring, and reporting. Candidates can be inspired by the knowledge that the work of their team directly impacts the physician workforce in British Columbia, and by extension the health care of British Columbians.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field and 5 years related experience; OR
  • A combination of training and related experience in a senior analytics role.
  • Recent leadership & supervisory experience.

Related experience must include:
  • Experience leading corporate and cross-organizational projects, managing stakeholder relationships with service providers, partners and business areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in combining economics, technology and business acumen to drive information resource management.
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate data-driven design, relational and/or data modeling, data analysis, and/or business area analysis techniques, data management principles, structured analysis and visualization, and documentation of business requirements.

    Preference maybe given to those with experience in healthcare, visual analytics, data stewardship and information management, and/or project management

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
