We are seeking skilled Project Coordinators to work in our Langley facility. As a Project Coordinator, you will be involved in all phases during a project’s life span, including bid and estimating, analysis of project contract and specifications, risk analysis, engineering design, construction management, site supervision, quality control and project turnover to the clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in the drafting of project proposals and tenders;
- Read construction drawings and specifications;
- Coordinate and maintain comprehensive project documentation in a detail-oriented manner;
- Prepare site pre-construction documentation, including quality and safety documentation;
- Prepare and submit any required RFI's on material or project;
- Assist the Project Manager in management with our sub-trades;
- Monitor project hours and expenditures;
- Assist the Project Manager in the performance and progress of the project, including cost, scheduled and quality;
- Prepare change order management, progress draws, and update the established project schedule;
- Perform site visits to monitor specific processes and ensure procedures are being performed correctly and efficiently;
- Work with Site Superintendents/Foremen to ensure deliveries are coordinated and expedited;
- Coordinate changes to the contract including communication with foreman and ensure documentation updates;
- Attend coordination and progress meetings;
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with vendors, third party contacts, consultants, engineers and subtrade partners;
- Coordinate and ensure submittal of project close out documentation.
Qualifications:
- A degree in civil engineering or equivalent;
- Willing to drive to multiple job sites around Lower Mainland;
- Ability to learn and work under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager or Project Managers;
- Solid relationship with trade partners across the city;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office;
- Strong communication and problem solving skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to read blueprints;
- Navigate technical documents relevant to the work;
- Knowledge of varying provincial legislation pertaining to the work;
- Construction experience preferred;
- PMP or CAPM advantageous.
