Froude Management Inc. (FMI) is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator for a wide range of ICI construction projects from start to finish. You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with organizing construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Project Coordinator must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and coordinate a subcontractor of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills and is able to work in a fast pace environment.

Responsibility

  • Assists project manager and superintendent with overall administrative functions and duties on large or several smaller projects/scopes, usually with a specific trade or area focus. This includes managing subcontracts, and interfacing with the engineering design team and field staff to plan, execute, and problem solve. 
  • Handle project administration, including RFIs, Submittals, Schedule updates, Change Order administration, and others.
  • Assist project manager and superintendent in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
  • Assist the pursuit team with the preparation of bid documents and proposals. 
  • Assist project manager with changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Assist project manager with the development and implementation of quality control programs.
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to the superintendent and project manager.
  • Assist project manager with tender and awarding subcontractors.
  • Assist the superintendent with supervising the activities of subcontractors.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Construction Project Coordination in Vancouver, British Columbia.
  • Demonstrated competence in the areas of leadership, safety, people management, project execution, cost control quality, and administration.
  • Proactive problem-solver that can manage difficult situations.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, legislation, and building codes.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations.
