Froude Management Inc. (FMI) is looking for an experienced Construction Senior Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of ICI construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibility

  • Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
  • Handle project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration.
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs.
  • Manage monthly billing and assist accounting in processing payments.
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
  • Tender and award subcontractors.
  • Supervise the activities of subcontractors.
  • Identify the training needs of field staff, assist with training where qualified, and support apprenticeship programs as required.

 

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management in Vancouver, British Columbia.
  • Demonstrated competence in the areas of leadership, safety, people management, project execution, cost control quality and administration.
  • Proactive problem-solver that can manage difficult situation.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, legislation, and building codes.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical diplomas and Gold Seal certification are considered assets.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations.
