Horizon Recruitment Inc. is representing a global financial brand recruiting a highly motivated individual to join their back office team as an KYC / AML Specialist for a one year term as the company is growing and going through a busy time. This position is ideal for someone with excellent analytical and communication skills who thrives in an environment that rewards individual performance and initiative. This role will be focused on providing exceptional, world-class servicing to a global client base of institutional and retail investors. The team’s purpose is to leave a positive and lasting impression on clients that compels them to remain invested over the long term. New members to the team will be joining at a unique and critical time. The global firm has identified Canada as a top priority and as our client is expecting significant growth.

Responsibilities:

Proactively communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure all KYC and AML requirements are met during the client onboarding and ongoing monitoring processes.
Conduct thorough due diligence to verify and validate client information, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure that the client database and records remain up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
Owning key responsibilities related to the transaction cycle of funds. This includes verifying client transactions and validating sensitive client information.

Requirements:

1 – 2 years of professional experience (e.g., co-op work placement, or post-graduation work) with a proven track record of success
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the maturity to articulate oneself clearly and confidently
Strong analytical and investigative skills accompanied with the ability to think independently and critically
Outstanding interpersonal skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a challenging (at times, unstructured) work environment
High standards of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidential information

Rewards:

$60,000-$70,000 depending on experience.
