Work Arrangements
The Mathematics Department in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Douglas College is seeking sessional instructors to add to their Contract Faculty list. Instructional sections are available for Summer 2025.
The successful candidate(s) must be able to teach face-to-face classes at either one of the two Douglas College Campuses, in New Westminster and Coquitlam.

The Role
The Mathematics Department offers a wide range of preparatory and first- and second-year university transfer courses. The department is seeking excellent mathematics instructors, with a demonstrated ability to motivate students with problems in learning mathematics, while also being able to support and challenge students interested in pursuing careers in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering. At this time, we are particularly interested in instructors with experience teaching statistics.
Responsibilities
You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College courses. You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain quality learner-centered instruction.
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
Applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics from an accredited university and relevant post-secondary teaching experience.
Applicants will be considered for this position based upon their experience, qualifications and availability.
