Job Summary

The Team
The Cybersecurity and Digital Trust (CDT) Technical Operations team is an established group of 12 professionals committed to safeguarding digital identities and ensuring secure access to government services. As part of a larger branch of 110, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Security Analysts, Developers, and other specialists to provide critical support for services like BCeID and BC Services Card. The Role
As the Manager of Technical Operations, you'll oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of identity and authentication technology for CDT, ensuring services are delivered securely and efficiently to meet agreed-upon service levels. Your work will have a direct impact on citizens by enhancing their access to vital government services, improving security, and fostering trust in digital interactions. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Degree, diploma, or certification in the computer science field or, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 4 years' experience supervising a team of technical staff.
  • Experience leading and directing teams of technical experts to effectively achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • 3 years' experience in technical operations in a complex application environment, supporting a large, diverse, corporate business enterprise, which resulted in solutions for clients.
  • 3 years' experience leading and resolving complex staff, team, and/or client issues.

Preferences:
  • Experience negotiating and managing information technology and/or other contracts.
  • Experience supervising staff in union positions.
  • 3 years of experience working with government led identity software solutions.
  • Experience leading initiatives to enhance the skills and capacity of IT professionals working with agile teams on identity software solutions, open source, cloud platforms and/or digital services at the enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated leadership in digital government initiatives.
  • Experience working with BC Government's Digital Framework and Digital Principles Policy Chapter 12: IM/IT Management
  • Experience working with BC Government's Digital Framework and Digital Principles and Policy Chapter 12: IM/IT Management Working knowledge and understanding of the Digital Code of Practice.

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
