Intermediate Accountant – Fully Remote | $60K - $65K

Location: Greater Vancouver (Remote with occasional in-person events)

My client, a well-established and growing company in the High Tech industry, is hiring an Intermediate Accountant to join their dynamic team. What You’ll Be Doing

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will report to the Finance & Operations Manager and play a key role in day-to-day financial operations, payroll support, and process improvements. Your responsibilities will include:

🔹 Financial Operations

Full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Managing invoices, payables, deposits, and payments
Month-end and year-end reconciliations (balance sheet, bank, capital assets, prepaids)
Assisting with payroll processing and T4/T5/RL-1 preparation
Preparing financial reports, GST and tax returns, and supporting audits
Using AI tools to improve financial processes and reporting

🔹 HR & Administration Support

Assisting with benefits administration and vacation tracking
Helping onboard new employees and procure necessary equipment
Coordinating company-wide social events and meetings

What We’re Looking For

✔ Accounting Certificate, Diploma, or Degree (students in CPA programs welcome!)

✔ 3-5 years of accounting experience, including full-cycle bookkeeping

✔ Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP (US GAAP knowledge is a plus)

✔ Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)

✔ Tech-savvy and comfortable with cloud-based tools

✔ Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment
