The Líĺwat Nation is a progressive First Nation whose traditional territory encompasses Whistler and Pemberton, BC. With a membership of over 2,200 people, approximately 1,650 of whom live in the community, the Líĺwat Nation is the third largest First Nation in British Columbia. About the Role
Reporting to the Health Director, the Health + Healing Administrator is responsible for providing the overall leadership, direction, and management for the planning, development, implementation and administration of the Pq’usnalcw Health Center (PHC) and Lil’wat Health and Healing Center (LHH), teams, programs and services. The Health + Healing Administrator assists in the development and maintenance of partnerships with internal partners including leadership, administration, Lil'wat staff and contractors, and community. The Health + Healing Administrator provides mentorship and structure to the Lil’wat Health & Healing management team to progress department and community goals.
This is an incredible opportunity for a professional with extensive leadership experience in First Nations communities. The preferred candidate will have a university degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in Health Services, Social Services, First Nations Studies, Leadership, Business Administration, or other relevant studies. The preferred candidate will have strong experience with leadership, mentoring, employee relations management and financial management. The preferred candidates will have experience in the administration of community programs, services, and operations. This position requires a clear Criminal Record Check required to work with a vulnerable sector, as well as a Driver’s License and clear drivers abstract.
The salary for this position is $93,475.20 - $101,556 annually, supplemented by a competitive total compensation that includes 100% Medical Benefits, Employee & Family Assistance Program, and matched pension contribution at 8.5%.
