Job Description

6 month Snowflake Data Engineer contract role with a growing team.

6-month Data Engineer contract.

What & Why:

As a result of growth our client is looking to add a contract data engineer to their growing team. We are looking for someone who has prior data engineering experience in Snowflake Data platform and should have strong sql knowledge. You will assist in the development and implementation of data integration, modeling, and orchestration pipelines using relevant coding languages. You will also support monitoring and troubleshooting of data engineering-related incidents, ensuring system reliability and maintain and improve data documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility. This is a great chance to join a growing team of engineers.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work arrangement, 3 days a week in office.

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
4+ years experience working with Snowflake.
Strong SQL skills for querying, transformation, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (experience with Databricks or Fabric is a plus).
Proficiency in Python, dbt, or other data engineering tools is an asset.
Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

Compensation:

This role pays between $75-95 per hour.
