Business Systems Support Analyst

6-month contract Business Systems Support Analyst role working on a high-profile transformation program for the supply chain team with a retail client.

• Working on a high-profile transformation program.
• Retail client located in downtown Vancouver with hybrid work available, 3 days a week in office.  

As a result of investment in technology and new systems implementations our client is looking to add a system analyst to their growing program team for a 6-month contract to start. This role is mainly on their program support team, managing all tickets and continuous improvements of their applications (vendor and in-house).  The scope of work includes being able to assess problems at a high level and dive into the weeds of analysis to determine proposal for next steps.  You will have a proactive, go getter, leave no stone unturned attitude to problem solving.  You must be able to communicate effectively to support identifying risks, issues and supporting the resolution of them.  It is critical that you be able to consume information and understand business/technology impacts and be able to plan mitigation for issues to ensure that the inbound logistics operations teams’ needs are being met.  In this role, you must be able to work with low instruction and navigate ambiguity.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have full remote on-boarding capability during Covid19 with a hybrid work model, 3 days a week in office.

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 5+ years of experience in analysis, strategy, operations or related professional industry experience.
• Strong fundamentals in integration (kafka, and Java).
• Advanced ability to write SQL.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and teach junior team members.
• Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.

This role pays between $70-80 per hour.
