About the Opportunity

MLIB is looking for a full-time Clinical Operations & Program Services Manager based in McLeod Lake, BC.

Reporting to the Director of Health and Social Services, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive mental health and addiction services while ensuring culturally safe and client-centered care for the community.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team, developing and implementing programs, and ensuring operational efficiency to meet the evolving needs of the community.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the strategic design, implementation, and evaluation of mental health and addiction programs
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a multidisciplinary health team
  • Building relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and funding agencies
  • Advocating for clients by addressing barriers and raising awareness of mental health and addiction
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and driving quality improvement initiatives
  • Developing policies and procedures to enhance service delivery
  • Promoting culturally sensitive practices aligned with MLIB's values and traditions
  • Managing resources and budgets

About You

To qualify, you will need a degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, plus 5+ years of experience in mental health and addiction services, including 2 years in a managerial role.

The following are required:

  • Registration or eligibility for registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, Social Work Registration Board)
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to undergo a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement and collaboration
  • Deep knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches for mental health and addiction services
  • Proven experience in program development and healthcare service delivery within diverse settings
  • Understanding of Indigenous cultural practices and their impact on mental health and wellness
  • Advocacy skills to address barriers and support clients effectively
  • Experience creating culturally safe health programs that integrate Indigenous and Western healthcare practices
  • Knowledge of the BC Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations
  • Familiarity with the unique health challenges of Indigenous populations in rural and remote areas
