Job Description
Who- the Company:
Our client, an impressive fast paced and high growth company in the construction industry that has a great culture, with long tenured staff, some of which have been there 25-30 years since the company was founded! They are an entrepreneurial office that is financially backed.
What- the Role:Located in Delta, this organization is growing its team and is seeking a dedicated full-time Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of a dynamic team and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role promises growth opportunities for the right candidate in the role as our company continues to expand. This role is Hybrid, with a 4 days/week required in the office.
Key responsibilities can be broken down as follows:
- Oversee invoicing and payroll processes, supervising the accounting clerk in this function
- Prepare and file statutory remittances (GST, Payroll, WCB, etc.)
- Working in conjunction with the CFO, prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and bank covenant reporting.
- Manage supplier invoices and payments processing.
- Oversee AR and collections processes.
- Prepare bank and credit card account reconciliations.
- Identify and develop opportunities for process improvement in the Finance function.
- Working in conjunction with the CFO, prepare financial and operational analyses to enhance company performance.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a keen interest in business operations with accounting experience in a high transaction volume industry.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance plus the completion of your accounting designation or pursuing completion.
- 3-5 years of relevant full cycle accounting experience with a willingness to be hands on while enjoying mentoring others.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central considered an asset.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
Competitive base salary commensurate with level of experience. Ideal range will be between $70-85,000 depending on experience plus bonus, vacation, and benefits. Please discuss further with SWIM.
Please note: We are open to seeing candidates available both on a full-time or .8 schedule and happy to discuss.
Where:This role will be based in Delta BC. Initially this will be 4 days onsite during training and building relationships for roughly 1-2 months and then hybrid 3 days in office after.
