Job Description

This position works in the IT Development & Quality Assurance organizational unit. This is technical and analytical work involving all phases of testing new or revised computer systems. An incumbent designs and schedules system, application and module tests for all phases of systems testing for a wide variety of computer systems projects, upgrades, and system integration points; conducts tests, identifies and records problems; liaises with a wide variety of technical specialists and system users to explain problems and coordinate the resolution of same; re-tests solutions; prepares and maintains test documentation using software and uniform documentation standards related to the work performed; prepares and maintains reports and records. An incumbent may provide application support and evaluation to clients, identifies resolves or recommends solutions; and may review system design specifications and provide recommendations as required. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications include graduation from an Institute of Technology with a diploma in computer science plus considerable related systems testing experience with integrated on-premises and SaaS systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough knowledge of computer system testing principles, practices and standards; of computer system testing documentation standards; of system testing software tools (such as JIRA, TestRail, Ranorex, etc.). Experience with test automation, load testing, API testing and DevOps practices is a definite asset. A valid Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia is required.
This is a temporary full time position until December 31, 2026.
