You will be the visionary leader as a Director of Business Development, driving our Transportation and Infrastructure growth. Salary range (in British Columbia): Starting at $179,750
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. What you can expect to do here:
- You will conduct comprehensive market research and develop targeted account plans.
- You will implement strategic account plans for both existing and new clients.
- You will prepare insightful reports and presentations on business development activities.
- You will manage the opportunity pipeline, securing high-value projects for the T&I team.
- You will interface and collaborate with Market Leaders and Sub-Regional leaders recently appointed on a regular basis to optimize cross-collaboration within subsectors.
- You will mentor and inspire client account managers to strengthen relationships and drive growth.
- You will collaborate on innovative and digital platform solutions.
- You will lead impactful client presentations and assist in crafting compelling proposals.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Proven Track Record of Success: You will consistently exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth, thriving under pressure and adapting to changing circumstances as you have a minimum of 15 years of experience in business development in a professional services environment.
- Exceptional Business Acumen and Relationship management: You will identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, understand market dynamics, and analyze data to uncover growth areas. You will excel in building and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction, loyalty, and expanding existing relationships.
- Strategic Sales Planning and Strong Negotiation/Closing skills: You will develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company objectives, set ambitious targets, and anticipate market shifts. You will secure favorable terms and effectively close deals, converting opportunities into revenue.
- Leadership and Team Motivation: You will lead and motivate a high-performing sales team, setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Adaptability and Market Insight: You will adapt strategies to meet changing customer needs and market conditions, staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
