Job Summary

The Team
At the Island Coastal Community Corrections Regional Office, you'll be joining a close-knit, established team of three, including the Regional Director and Regional Business Manager. We provide vital leadership and support to a diverse group of Probation Officers across Vancouver Island and Powell River, working collaboratively with Office Managers and Local Managers to enhance public safety. The Role
The Regional Office Manager play's a crucial part in supporting public safety by managing key aspects of the hiring process, including drafting employment offers and ensuring thorough record checks. You'll also take on financial responsibilities and coordinate administrative processes across field offices. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • A combination of four (4) years of related experience, education and/or training (e.g., administrative or secretarial support), or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in word processing and other standard computer applications, e.g., spreadsheets, data bases;
  • Experience referencing government clerical, financial and establishment policies;
  • Experience in leave management, payroll and personnel functions;
  • Experience using the internet and email.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in human relations;
  • Experience utilizing CHIPS (Corporate Human Resource Information and Payroll System);
  • Experience in recruitment and selection paneling.
  • Experience utilizing PeopleSoft and/or Time and Leave Management (TLAM)
  • More than four (4) years of related experience, education and/or training.

This is a temporary opportunity until 04/30/2026. This position may be extended or become permanent
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
This position is excluded from union membership.
