Job Description

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Chartering Manager to build on our clients Bulk Chartering presence in the region. This role requires managing end-to-end shipment logistics while building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, brokers, vessel owners, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic trade initiatives to expand market presence.
Maximize earnings by leveraging own tonnage and identifying spot market opportunities.
Secure and manage spot cargoes, COAs, and optimize cargo and tonnage portfolios.
Oversee the full parceling process, coordinating with customers, shipping agents, overseas offices, and vessel owners.
Build trust-based relationships and provide customer-centric solutions.
Work closely with the Operations team and Port Captain to ensure efficient vessel loading and discharge in compliance with contractual obligations.
Ensure adherence to industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Monitor global macro and regional micro trends and provide views on market direction.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in bulk Cargo Chartering.
Proven ability to collaborate, maintain trust, and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
In-depth knowledge of international trade practices, regulations, and required documentation.
Solid understanding of commercial terms and Charter Party clauses.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with customers, shipping agents, and carriers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with IMOS and SEDNA is considered an asset
