Job Summary

The Team
At the Ministry of Education and Child Care, you'll be joining the System Engagement and Intergovernmental Relations team, a dedicated group of 11 diverse professionals. This established team is instrumental in bridging the Ministry's executive with key K-12 partners and organizing crucial events, while preparing for important initiatives and transitions. You'll collaborate with various roles, from Project Coordinators to Directors, all working together to enhance BC's K-12 education system. The Role
As the Project Manager, Partner Engagement and Corp Planning, you'll manage diverse projects within our branch, ensuring that initiatives are tracked, deadlines are met, and tasks are assigned effectively. Your work will directly impact our clients by keeping communication clear and projects on schedule, which helps maintain strong relationships with our K-12 partners. This role provides an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in a team committed to supporting BC's education system.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Degree in project management, business administration, public administration or related field (related field includes public sector, social sector, project management, management and leadership) and 2 years of related experience; OR
  • Diploma in project management, business administration, public administration, or a related field and 3 years related experience; OR
  • Certificate or coursework in project management or a related field and 4 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

*Related experience must include all the following:
  • Experience independently managing and tracking multiple projects.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, managing and evaluating complex projects and work assignments.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders/partners, and in managing competing interests within a multi-stakeholder environment.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available, this position may be able to work from home up to a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement. Victoria has two building locations, both with space to accommodate in-office work. The Vancouver office may be accessed for limited drop-in use.
