Job Description

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our not-for-profit client. They are looking for someone with a strong background in accounts payable, ideally in a high volume, automated environment (500 monthly invoices). This person would need strong communication skills as they will be working with many stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Full cycle accounts payable, processing purchase orders, invoices, cheque requests, expense reports through an automated end-to-end paperless AP system (Beanworks).
Invoice data entry, reconcile transactions, monthly reporting, GL journal entries for month-end close.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments on a timely basis.
Reconcile credit cards and payments by scheduled processing deadlines.
Complete reconciliations between Beanworks and Sage 300, as well as Sage 300 subledger to general ledger.
Analyze accounts and create ad hoc reports, monitor accounts and correspond with vendors.
Maintain petty cash.
Prepare royalty reports to support license payments.
Prepare PST, GST, withholding tax remittance reports and year-end T4A slips.
Back-up support for Accounts Receivable.

Requirements:

Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline.
4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with good understanding of Excel, experience with Sage 300, Beanworks is preferred.
Knowledge of PST, GST and withholding taxes is preferred.
Excellent analytical abilities with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Remuneration:

$55,000-$65,500K
