Job Description

Express Employment Professionals - Cloverdale/Langley office's client, in the area of the Sur-Lang border is a leading supplier of their products in Canada. They are currently looking to fill the role of Warehouse Manager in their Langley location. This is a full time permanent position.

The Warehouse Manager provides leadership and oversees the warehouse operation in a safe, secure, efficient and cost-effective manner that complies with company policy, procedures, ISO standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.

The Warehouse Manager is a strong people leader and ensures the safe and proper receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of product.

Job Duties

  1.  Work within the general framework laid down by senior management.
  2.  Assume accountability for warehouse operations; operate within budget for operations and capital requests.
  3.  Supervise warehouse personnel including hiring, determining workload and delegating   assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, initiating corrective or disciplinary actions     and documenting absences. 
  4.  Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure achievement of quality and     productivity objectives.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  •  Effective people management skills with the ability to build rapport with various personality types.
  •  Strong knowledge of all warehouse procedures and techniques including packaging, sorting, stacking,     product placement/picking, loading/unloading trucks, etc.
  •  Knowledge of sales operations including logistics, carriers, policies, procedures and product.
  •  Experience with warehousing software preferred.
  •  Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and phone skills.
  •  Capable of following written and verbal instructions and procedures.
  •  Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  •  High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  •  Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
