Job Summary

The Team
At Asset Investment Recovery in Prince George, you'll join a hands-on and supportive Stock Worker team responsible for warehousing and logistics. This new team of three collaborates with Listing Agents and Supervisors to ensure smooth operations. We're looking for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are ready to contribute to the team's success.

The Role
As a Stock Worker at Asset Investment Recovery in Prince George, you'll play a key role in warehousing and customer service, becoming the face of BC Auction. This position offers a unique blend of public and private sector experiences, where you'll work with a variety of assets the Province purchases. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse or similar inventory control environment.
  • Minimum 1 years' experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel, Internet, basic web site skills and e-mail.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License and must provide a 5-year Driver's Abstract from ICBC.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • WSBC Forklift Operation Certificate.
  • Experience working with materials handling equipment.
  • Experience driving 3-ton and/or 5-ton trucks.
  • Three (3) months' experience using SAP inventory system.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and carry out assigned tasks in a competent manner.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Safety Standards, WSBC and WHIMS regulations related to the storage and transportation of goods which may be hazardous.
  • Knowledge of warehouse practices and methods applied in operating a modern warehouse facility.
  • Must possess good organizational skills; good interpersonal skills.

Provisos/Willingness Statements
  • Willing and able to frequently move heavy weights, (Up to 30 Kg) e.g. boxes, furniture, large electronics, etc.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License

This position has full time on-site requirements.
The position headquarters will be Prince George.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies across the Ministry of Citizens' Services.
