We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation Services department.
A staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessment, treatment, education and management of patients requiring Occupational Therapy. Therapy involves participation in treatment; quality assessment and ongoing continuing education in inpatient, outpatient and continuing care settings.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00
Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a 50-bed hospital that offers full service that includes inpatient care, emergency, respiratory, rehab, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology lab, medical imaging and cancer care. The hospital is the northeastern BC orthopedic and trauma centre. Visiting specialists in urology, dermatology and pediatrics is also available.
Dawson Creek has a population of 12,178 (2021) with a youthful and vibrant community that serves as a major centre for the surrounding areas. Qualfications
• Graduate of a recognized Occupational Therapy Program.
• Registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
Skills and Abilities:
• Physical skill and ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Sound professional judgment and initiative based on education and experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.
• Ability to work independently, organize time, set priorities and accurately perform work.
