Expected Salary Range: $84,981.00 - $106,227.00 - $132,784.00

Our typical hiring range will be +/- 5% of the midpoint shown above

Job Summary:

The Senior Channel Specialist is responsible for consulting and advising BCLC internal groups and key external groups during the development, execution and evaluation phases of new technology, products and other major cross-functional initiatives that impact gaming operations or BCLC business partners. This role develops and coordinates comprehensive communication and execution plans to support strategic initiatives across the Lottery and Casino business lines. This position conducts in-depth post program analysis, supports macro business planning and reviews as well as makes strategic recommendations and collaborates with internal BCLC departments to resolve operational and business issues from the field.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Advises BCLC internal groups and key external groups during the development, execution and evaluation phases of new technology, products and other major cross-functional initiatives that impact gaming operations or BCLC business partners. Makes recommendations to achieve broader financial and creative results; works in partnership with field teams ensuring that all required work is executed to achieve broader organizational results.
  • Identifies market trends, recommends new business opportunities, and develops selling stories to address market needs.
  • Conducts highly complex and highly specialized sales/marketing/communications work that drives revenue generation, profit and growth: as an individual contributor, provides expert solutions to achieve broader organizational financial/public support/creative results.
  • Proactively develops, maintains and manages moderate-high visibility/profile relationships with key internal contacts, as well as external stakeholders to ensure mutually desired outcomes are achieved and strategic partnerships are formed.
  • Champions teamwork, provides guidance, communicates function/department goals in the context of corporate objectives, ensures focus on results, intervenes to deal with issues, oversees stakeholder relationships and supports the BCLC vision, mission and values.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of, business reports and updates on behalf of Gaming Operations.
Minimum Required Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Sales;
  • 4 - 6 years relevant experience in leadership and or informal leadership experience considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and/or business analysis is considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated experience in retail, hospitality or casino channels considered an asset;
  • Understanding of lottery gaming, entertainment trends and regulated industries considered and asset;
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Technical Requirements
  • Solid knowledge of business development, market research, marketing, merchandising, distribution practices, methodologies and tools;
  • Strong familiarity with communication plans/able to communicate complex strategies;
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking;
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills;
  • Innovative, solution-based thinker able to manage multiple input sources.
  • Demonstrates expertise managing strategic projects;
  • Strong excel skills.
