Job Skills / Requirements

In this role, your main responsibilities will be providing access control, traffic control, and audits, at this busy export terminal in Delta. You will also handle administrative tasks and support the Site Manager, and your customer service and leadership skills will be essential for success.

Shifts: Monday-Friday, 0530-1330hrs
Pay Rate: $30.33/hour

Requirements:
•Minimum one year of work experience as a supervisor or manager
•Minimum one year of work experience in the security industry
•Class 5 BC Drivers License and reliable personal vehicle to commute to the site as transit is not available at the shift's start time
•Excellent communication, customer service, professionalism, and observation skills
•Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, bodily fluids, etc.
•A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
•Proficiency with access control, fire systems, CCTV, and other security-related systems
•Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift, including indoors, outdoors, in all weather conditions, up and down stairwells, and over uneven surfaces, and parking lots
Responsibilities:
•Provide traffic control and vehicle access control
•Conduct regular foot patrols
•Monitor CCTV cameras
•Attend incidents, de-escalate situations, write detailed reports, and communicate any issues to Supervisor, Manager, and client as required
•Interact with clients and the general public, providing excellent customer service
•Administrative tasks, including maintaining the site schedule, arranging training for site Officers, auditing equipment inventory, etc.
•Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
•Other duties as required to meet operational needs

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
