Job Description
6 month contract QA Automation role with a growing team delivering major technology programs to a global retail organization.
As a result of investment in technology our client is looking to add an SDET to their growing team. This team is responsible for their inventory intelligence team that provides a highly accurate view of the inventory in store at any given time. This role will have both an automation and manual focus to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions supporting their retail systems. You should be detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about implementing testing strategies that optimize our development processes. This is a great time to join this team as they are expanding rapidly.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation and manual testing, preferably within a retail technology or RFID-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience in API testing using tools such as Postman and Curl.
- Familiarity with AWS Services such as S3, RDS, and Glue Jobs.
- Experience with test automation frameworks using RestAssured, JUnit5, Maven, and Java 17.
- Proficiency in CI/CD processes and using GitLab for test automation integration.
- Experience working with Kafka and validating topics with Lenses.
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience with MySQL databases.
- Familiarity with log analysis using Splunk for troubleshooting and debugging.
- Proficient in using Charles Proxy for validating app communication in DCloud environments.
- Ability to create and maintain detailed test documentation in Confluence.
This role pays between $65-75 per hour.
