Property Accountant – North Vancouver

Our client, a growing and dynamic Property Management company, is looking for a Property Accountant to join their North Vancouver team. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for supporting full-cycle accounting functions and ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting activities for a portfolio of properties.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and accruals.
Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Support the preparation of financial statements and other management reports.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Collaborate with the property management team to resolve accounting-related issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Enrolled in the CPA program (completion of foundational courses preferred).
2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in property management.
Experience with property management software such as Spectra or Yardi is an asset.
Proficiency in Excel with strong attention to detail.
