Job Description

Our client, a well-established company in Coquitlam, is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to support their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the team during an ERP implementation and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger (GL) Reconciliations: Prepare, review, and analyze GL accounts.
Bank Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reviews and ensure accuracy.
Accounts Payable: Review and post vendor invoices.
Cost Accounting: Manage and post job costs, generate and send invoices for billable jobs.
Inventory Management: Reconcile spare parts inventory quarterly, update inventory costs, and prepare adjustments for review.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file GST and PST remittances along with payment vouchers.
Revenue Reconciliation: Analyze monthly equipment revenue, ensuring the subledger is reconciled with the GL.
Credit Card Reconciliations: Review and verify Mastercard statements.
Audit Support: Assist with preparation for the annual statutory audit.
Address ad hoc accounting requests as assigned.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in the final level of the CPA program.
Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and financial statement reporting independently.
Hands-on experience with ERP implementation.
Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills.
Highly proactive, enthusiastic, and a self-starter.
