As our Gravel Truck Operator, you are responsible for the safe operation of a logging truck within our Kootenay operations. You love both your own company and having the opportunity to play with machinery, so operating for long hours under varying weather, site, terrain and road conditions, won't be a problem.

The hourly rate for this position is: $36.83

As our Gravel Truck Operator, you are responsible for the safe operation of a logging truck within our Kootenay operations. A day in the life of a Gravel Truck Operator includes:
- Driving for long hours under varying weather, site, terrain and road condition safely.
- Running a variety of heavy-duty equipment including, but not limited to loader, backhoe, cat-bulldozer D6, dump/gravel truck, grader and forklift, Plow truck operator in winter months
- Preform pre-trip inspection and complete minor maintenance and repairs including fueling, lubing and washing truck
- Loading and unloading of culverts, reading maps, orientation
- Towing, inspection, and loading of trailers with supplies or equipment
- Ability to use digital equipment for locating and managing work and accessing work priorities or direction
- Manual field work (tree removal, sign and culvert placement and marking)
- Must Hold Class One Driver's License
- Must be able to furnish proof of certifications/licenses and provide a drivers abstract
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot
- Positive attitude and a self-starter
- Able to work in an environment that may include exposure to weather, dust, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and noise.
