Job Summary

The Team
The Services to Adults - Interior North Regional Office - Client Services Financial Analyst teamis an established group of five financial analysts and one team lead, dedicated to supporting integrated services for vulnerable adults who may need assistance due to mental illness, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or degenerative conditions. This team collaborates with case managers and various departments to deliver comprehensive support for clients' personal, financial, and legal affairs. The Role
In the role of Client Services Financial Analyst, you will focus on understanding and addressing the unique financial needs of clients, analyzing forecasts, and recommending options that align with their case management plans. Your responsibilities will include creating annual budgets tailored to each client, monitoring financial reports to ensure accuracy, and investigating spending patterns to protect against issues like fraud. By working closely with financial institutions and community partners, you will help ensure that clients receive the support they need for their daily financial management. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the well-being of vulnerable adults and offers the chance to be part of an inclusive organization committed to ethical practices and positive outcomes. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation (or equivalent);AND
  • A Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Financial Management;OR
  • Two (2) years related financial experience with an emphasis on conducting financial forecasts and analysis, coordinating the assembly of financial data for financial management and budget creation purposes, developing financial statements, and analyzing reports;OR
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • Experience liaising with a variety of community partners and professionals
  • Experience providing a wide range of financial services within Adult Trust and Estate Services
  • Experience working with and supporting vulnerable populations.

About this Position:
There is currently a temporary opportunity available until January 9, 2026, this temporary opportunity may become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
