Are you skilled in facilities management and enjoy creating organized, functional spaces? Our client, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through community engagement, social connection, and lifelong learning, is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to manage room setups, equipment maintenance, and building upkeep for daily activities and events.
This role is crucial to enhancing the organization’s operations by focusing on effective communication, community outreach, and program support to foster inclusivity and well-being.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily opening procedures and ensure rooms are prepared for scheduled activities.
- Coordinate with cleaning staff and event planners to manage room arrangements for programs and events.
- Ensure equipment is operational and manage basic Zoom setup for virtual meetings and events.
- Support event preparation, on-site assistance, and takedown as needed.
- Coordinate painting projects, minor plumbing, and electrical repairs in collaboration with contractors.
- Regularly inspect windows, furniture, and other fixtures to ensure they are in good condition.
- Arrange necessary safety inspections and schedule equipment repairs as required.
- Optimize storage space usage and maintain an organized storage system.
- Conduct equipment inspections twice a year, and manage the tracking of keys and locks.
What You Need:
- Experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Proficiency in either Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.) or MS Office and Google Workspace apps.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Experience with or willingness to learn A/V and IT equipment setup.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
