In this role, you'll handle routine maintenance tasks (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) and respond quickly to work orders. The salary for this position starts at $40,152 or more based on experience
per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

In this role, you'll handle routine maintenance tasks (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) and respond quickly to work orders. Your work will focus on keeping our equipment safe, clean, functional, and reliable for the long term.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planned Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on restaurant equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, coolers, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and structural components.
- Follow a scheduled maintenance calendar (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tasks).
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and compliance requirements.
2. Work Order Management:
- Review maintenance requests and identify root causes of issues.
- Complete repairs or coordinate with vendors for complex fixes.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work in maintenance logs.
3. Equipment and Tools:
- Use and maintain a variety of tools and equipment required for general repairs.
- Manage tool and material inventory, requesting supplies as needed.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with restaurant management to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to the restaurant operations.
- Update the Market Facilities Supervisor on task progress for ongoing and completed tasks
5. Miscellaneous Duties:
- Respond to or be available for emergency maintenance calls as needed - including during weekends.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on facilities maintenance best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional handyman, maintenance, or facilities repair experience.
Technical Skills:
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing restaurant equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, and refrigeration systems. Training and support will be provided.
- Knowledgeable in plumbing, HVAC, and basic electrical systems relevant to restaurant operations
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varying environments, and perform tasks requiring physical endurance.
Software Skills (Preferred):
- Familiarity with using MaintainX software to manage work orders and maintenance tasks. Training and support will also be provided.
Certifications (Preferred):
- HVAC certification, electrical license, or similar credentials are a plus.
Travel Requirement:
- Must have the ability to travel regularly between Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Hope to support maintenance needs at multiple locations.
Other:
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
