Job Description

Box Bus has multiple clients in need of moving and transportation services.

We have work for owner-operator drivers, only. Please note this is not an employee position to drive a company truck, this is IS ONLY OWNER-OPERATOR.

This network opportunity requires your own a Cargo van or Cube van. (No cars, pickups, minivans or SUVs) 250 cu ft+, Straight trucks are also in demand, especially those with reffers and/or power tailgate.

Locations for the work will be in the GVA, with most loads going local, but some work to the Whistler, Vancouver Island, The Interior, Okanogan and even Calgary/Edmonton.

Cargo could be furniture and household moving, offices relocating, B2B or B2C loads of various goods.

Rates vary depending on location, cargo, weight, size and distance. Jobs that require two+ people for load/unload pay higher to cover worker costs, same as jobs that go further pay higher to cover fuel costs and time.

Requirements:

Safety Vest (Class 2), and Hard-toes Shoes/boots.
Winter / All-Weather Tires (Not All-Season)
Must provide a vehicle for the work. Cargo Van / Cube Van / Straight Truck. (Cars and SUVs are too small and pickups do not work for this job.)
Can safely get in and out of your van multiple times a day.
Able to lift 40+lbs multiple times per day safely with hand truck/dolly. Load/unload furniture.
Have a smartphone with a data plan.
Excellent English communication skills

Preferred:

1+ year of courier experience in the GVA.
Customer service background.
A can-do attitude.
Time management skills.
