In this role you'll be a key member of the Plant Management team and as such, responsible for providing overall leadership for the sawmill and will work closely with other department heads to ensure efficient and effective divisional operations. You will be working alongside the best and brightest in the business with an innovative leader in the forest products industry.

The life of a Sawmill Superintendent includes:
  • Ensuring the highest level of workplace safety
  • Optimizing the safety and production performance of the operation
  • Providing direction and support for operating and supervisory personnel while fostering a highly effective working relationship with all employees
  • Providing development for supervisory personnel
  • Driving ongoing continuous improvement opportunities and quality control initiatives
  • Developing cost control programs in conjunction with Division business plans and managing area spend
  • Ensuring full compliance with applicable government regulations and corporate policies

For this role, you'll come equipped with:
  • A broad range of Industrial Leadership experience, ideally with experience in wood products manufacturing at the supervisory or superintendent level
  • Knowledge of the sawmill or forestry industry would be considered an asset.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of optimization equipment and processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead change initiatives

The salary range for this position is: $108,000.00-$135,000.00
