Job Description

Senior AccountantJoin a dynamic team as a Senior Accountant, where you'll lead key consolidation and reporting efforts for exciting exploration and development projects. Are you a designated CPA with a blend of public practice and industry experience, paired with strong expertise in IFRS and SOX? If so, we’d love to connect with you!

This is a 1-year contract with completion bonus.

Who- the Company:
Established and reputable international public mining company headquartered in Vancouver.

What- the Role:
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in consolidating and reporting our client’s exploration and development projects. This includes managing the OneStream upload and review process, preparing consolidation journal entries, working papers, financial statements, and management reports. They also support tax compliance, SOX controls, and external audits while preparing reports and schedules for senior management and external financial statements. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and collaboration across departments to meet reporting deadlines and ensure accuracy.

Who- the Candidate:

CPA designation with 3 to 5 years of accounting experience working for a large company in the accounting department (preferably as part of the corporate accounting function)
Experience with financial and management reporting
SOX and internal control environment experience
Strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver on tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and inventively with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Strong analytical and computer skills, with sophisticated spreadsheet skills
Experience with premier ERP and consolidation systems, and other financial reporting software.

How Much:
$91,000-105,000 commensurate with experience + completion bonus.

Where: Vancouver, Hybrid work model of in-office/remote, 3 days onsite.
