This temporary full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting August 6, 2024 to May 2, 2025. Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department's need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at the Coquitlam campus. The Role
Provide supervision of Site Services, room bookings and resolve operational issues. Assists in developing new procedures to improve the coordination and client services provided by Facility Services. Provides exceptional client-centred service on a consistent basis to all stakeholder groups. The Site Services Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Site Services Assistants.

Responsibilities

Supervises the daily operations of the room booking function and site services support a. Administers day-to-day site services activities, develops work procedures which ensure safe, productive and efficient Site Services operation; b. Analyzes and plans site services support; c. Resolves conflict involving building services workers, faculty, staff, students, members of the general public and stakeholders; Maintenance of Site Services Operations. a. Analyzes Site Services operational issues and problems as delegated by the Manager, Facilities Services to ensure consistent and efficient Site Services operations; b. In collaboration with the Manager, Facilities Services develops effective room bookings and site services work procedures and service standards and maintains procedure manuals; c. Identifies additional staffing requirements to meet special events and project work requirements;
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
1. Completion of a two (2) year program in a related field at a recognized post-secondary educational institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 2. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills including written and verbal fluency in the English language. 3. Strong interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to develop, establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, managers and staff. 4. Demonstrated team-building skills; proven experience supervising demonstrating the knowledge of principles and practices of employee supervision including work planning, organization, training, performance review and evaluation. 5. Demonstrated office management and supervisory skills and experience. 6. Demonstrated project management and team-building skills; proven experience in leading teams and task groups. 7. Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate large events and meeting involving a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups; proven ability to demonstrate tact and deliver a high level of customer service. 8. Demonstrated ability to compose business correspondence and reports. 9. A demonstrated ability to: coordinate, direct and allocate daily workflow and priorities and provide guidance, coaching and motivation to staff, problem solve independently and working with team, work independently with strict timelines without direct supervision, establish priories, meet deadlines and function well under pressure, research and recommend system improvements and enhancements to operational daily activities.
