Job Description

Express Employment Professionals - Delta/Richmond is recruiting for a Service Technician trainee with any and preferably all of the following - electrical, mechanical and welding experience. The primary role would be to install, inspect, repair and maintain. The perfect candidate is someone who can work independently to trouble shoot and solve problems to ensure complete client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Perform independent installation, inspection, service and repair of equipment in the field in an expeditious manner while assuring the customer's needs are met. Use of the handheld devices (or paper backup forms if needed) accurately
Complete all necessary paperwork associated with field service, repair and installation including service tickets, time sheets, open job tracking form and safety analysis sheets.
Maintain complete and accurate truck inventory according to district guidelines and timely compliance with service truck, warehouse, tool and equipment maintenance requirements.
Must possess productive knowledge of hydraulic systems and have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
Must possess a strong familiarity with aftermarket products and applications.
Must possess proficient arc welding skills in horizontal, uphill vertical and overhead conditions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of either service technician, millwright apprentice, heavy duty mechanic, mechanical, electrical, or welding
- Customer service orientation / Organized / with high level of proficiency and thoroughness
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience in welding is an asset
- Able to work independently
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines for critical tasks
- Able to identify and anticipate the needs and problems of the customer

Compensation: $25 - $35/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 - 50 hours a week (must have flexibility)
