Job description summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join as Senior Analyst, Business Oversight, within TD Securities, Financial Crime Risk Management Oversight function. The incumbent is responsible for conducting monitoring and testing, performing risk assessments for third-party vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with external and internal AML/ATF, Sanctions, and ABAC standards. Among other responsibilities, the incumbent is also involved in the development and enhancement of processes and procedures to strengthen risk management framework.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management principles, excellent analytical and communication skills, and experience in producing and delivering high-quality reports for executive audiences. This role is critical to maintaining effective controls and ensuring operational integrity across the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Champion the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) process by providing effective AML risk review and challenge of vendor relationships.
- Develop and enhance the AML risk assessment process for TPRM, including governance, processes, procedures, and reporting tools.
- Carry out effective Quality Assurance testing for the operational and design effectiveness of processes and controls utilized by assessable units, including within the FCRM function.
- Support the creation of the FCRM Oversight testing plan, including the determination of assessable units, testing engagements, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Execute on end-to-end testing engagements with high attention to detail for adherence to prescribed policies and procedures.
- Apply knowledge of capital markets, fixed income, currencies and commodities, and equities products for effective quality assurance testing of transaction monitoring alerts adjudication.
- Possess knowledge red flag indicators for unusual activity for various products and services offered by the organization.
- Analyze results of testing for areas of improvement and non-compliance.
- Prepare reports for testing engagements containing detailed analysis of results, assigning a rating per the testing methodology.
- Review processes for assessable units to provide insight and recommendations for improving their effectiveness and adherence to Policies and Standards.
- Identify the root cause of issues and support the development of action plans for remediation.
- Track issues to completion, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary.
- Ensure testing engagements are completed within the timelines governed by the annual testing plan.
- Prepare and deliver reports and memoranda to executive audiences, often coordinating with multiple stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Maintain effective governance procedures for the preparation of reports, including sources for KRIs, records retention, and obtaining approvals.
- Present objective and independent opinions on the adequacy of AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC processes and controls in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements and liaise with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve.
SHAREHOLDER
- Provide feedback and effective challenge on business line policies and procedures and make recommendations for enhancements based on changes to regulatory requirements or business processes.
- Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Work with internal and external business partners (e.g., Internal Audit, external consultants) to respond to regulatory requests, findings, audits and/or examinations.
- Stay up to date on current on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements in the AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC industry and assesses potential impacts.
- Coordinate with other AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC partners and business compliance partners to ensure consistency in the application of AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC programs and standards across the enterprise.
- Protect the interests of the organization - identify and manage risks, and ensure the prompt analysis and escalation of non-standard, high-risk issues, monitoring to thorough resolution.
- Acquire and apply expertise in the AML/ATF/ Sanctions/ABAC disciplines, providing basic guidance and direction to business and other business oversight partners.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Knowledge of capital market products considered an asset.
- Undergraduate Degree
- Advanced degree, professional accreditation, and/or 5+ years relevant industry experience
- CAMS designation considered an asset
