Job Description

6-month contract Technical Writer role with a global enterprise organization supporting a major system upgrade program.

6-month contract Tech Writer role
Supporting a major system upgrade program
Hybrid work with 3 days a week in office in either their Delta BC or Mississauga ON Distribution Centres

What & Why:
As a result of a major investment in technology, our client is looking to add a technical writer to their growing project team. They are 2 years into their 5 year roadmap upgrading their WMS system to Manhattan Active. In this role you will document operational and system processes for the standard operating practices and job aids in support of the end user training documentation. Ideally you have experience supporting the documentation of systems for warehouse or factory settings, WMS is a strong nice to have. They currently have an established document library and the tools utilized heavily by this team are Visio and publishing to their Sharepoint sites. You should be comfortable generating and creating the documents as well as the associated QA of these documents. This is a great team to join as they look to continue to modernize.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days a week in office.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

2+ years experience as a technical writer
Experience supporting a factory or production type environment
Experience documenting operational and system processes in SOP, Job Aid and Process Map format.
Experience working with Sharepoint and Visio

Compensation: this role pays between $50-70 per hour incorporated
