THE ROLE:
This position provides effective payroll and administrative support to the Finance Department through efficient, accurate, and timely processing of the payroll and benefits information.
JOB TITLE: Payroll Assistant | #1971
SERVICE AREA: Payroll
LOCATION: Richmond, BC
START DATE: March 17, 2025
TERM/STATUS: Permanent Full Time
SCHEDULE/HRS: Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00 // 37.5 hours per week
HOURLY WAGE: $30.18 as per collective agreement

Requirements/Education/Experience:
- Completed two years of post-secondary training in areas such as Payroll, Business Administration, or Accounting
- Minimum two years of experience working in a payroll function or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience with all aspects of benefits administration.
- Completion or working towards completion of Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar processing software, and union payroll is an asset
- Demonstrated computer skills with MS Office, accurate typing skills with intermediate level Excel and Word
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to details
- Ability to work under pressure and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Good interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond/communicate with public and staff in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, set priorities, and work to meet tight deadlines with a high volume and fast-paced payroll.

- Demonstrated competency in English
- Eligible to work in Canada
