Medical Laboratory Technologist, Biochemistry

Position Summary

We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Laboratory department.

Under the director of the Charge Tech (Biochemistry), performs routine and specialized Biochemistry tests. Performs regular maintenance and calibration of instrumentation, checks and records test results and maintains quality control standards.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings - 07:00 to 15:00, 06:45 to 14:45, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 12:00 to 20:00, Rotating

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:

Qualfications
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory technology program; R.T. (General) or R.T. Subject (Clinical Chemistry).
• Eligible for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists.
