In this role you will perform cleaning and disinfection activities that are essential in maintaining the cleanroom environment. You will adhere to strict process Standard Operating Procedures, the Quality Management System, and safety protocols to support the production of STEMCELL's innovative products that are sold globally. Please note this is a 6 month fixed term role for evening shift and may require weekend work.

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$50,076.00 - $63,100.00
STEMCELL determines an individual's pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow SOP (standard operating procedures) to perform disinfection of the cleanroom facility and non classified areas as per schedule and recording all activities in written and electronic documents in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMPs) and good documentation procedures (GDPs)
- Perform specialized cleaning of cleanrooms to ensure adherence to stringent cleanliness and hygiene standards, while wearing appropriate PPE, including a full-face respirator
- Ensure the appropriate disposal and recycling of waste, including hazardous materials, with proper training and PPE provided
- Prepare and label required solutions (eg disinfectant), maintenance of cleaning tools, disinfection of all surfaces and routine activities to ensure areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness, and maintaining/ordering of cleaning supplies and inventory as needed
- Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to work in a fast paced and team oriented environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and shifts from 6 PM to 2 AM (shift hours may be adjusted slightly based on the production schedule, with notice)
- Capable of performing cleaning tasks that require lifting up to 35 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods; overhead reaching is required when performing some cleaning tasks.
- Familiarity with working in a quality management system is an asset
- An understanding of life sciences as obtained through post-secondary studies (in progress or completed) would be an asset
