Locum Pediatric Endocrinologist
Temporary Full-time, 1 year term (July 14, 2025 to July 13, 2026)
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0830-1630
Hours per week: 32.31 (1680 hours/year)
Salary: $320,475 per annum

BC Children's Hospital (BCCH) seeking a Locum Pediatric Endocrinologist. BCCH is the only dedicated pediatric tertiary care centre for the province of British Columbia in Canada serving a population of approximately 4 million people.
The Division of Endocrinology at BCCH includes 9 clinical faculty and 1 scientist, as well as a team of dedicated clinical nurse specialists, dietitians and social workers. The vision of the Division is: 'Empowered patients, exemplary team, ever-evolving care, and excellence in education and research.' The Division aims to maintain its status of academic excellence through ongoing clinical and pre-clinical/discovery research, and the education of future health care providers through a successful Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons accredited fellowship training program.
The Division of Endocrinology is comprised of 3 key clinical programs:
The Diabetes Program serves children and youth The Endocrinology Program serves as a consultation service to children and youth The Gender Program, one of the busiest in North America, serves transgender and gender-nonconforming youth
The successful candidate must have completed a MD degree and be eligible to obtain a specialist's license to practice medicine in British Columbia as well as Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Pediatrics and Fellowship training in Endocrinology (or equivalents). The proposed position will have a clinical component that includes outpatient clinics in endocrinology and diabetes, in-patient service and call, and outreach/virtual care. The successful applicant will participate in educational activities within the Division including academic rounds and fellow/resident teaching.
The successful candidate will also require a clinical appointment with the University of British Columbia (UBC). The UBC Clinical faculty rank and salary will be commensurate upon personal experience and qualifications.
