Aligned with Northern Health's strategic plan, and in accordance with the organizations vision and values, the Human Resources Assistant, Operational Support works collaboratively and proactively with leaders of the assigned portfolio to assist in the completion of human resource and other management functions. The position is responsible to track education requirements for staff and assists leaders to ensure completion in compliance with regulatory, legislative, and organizational requirements. The Assistant monitors, tracks, and reports on human resource metrics, including employee attendance, workforce demographics, overtime, and vacancies; assists in ensuring accuracy of data by maintaining position level detail in collaboration with leaders, Finance and Human Resources. The role assists regional departments in recognizing opportunities that will ensure consistency, collaboration and increased efficiency in the delivery of services to Northern Health leadership teams. The incumbent contributes to a welcoming, diverse, and psychologically safe work environment by establishing respectful relationships, modelling expected behavior, addressing situations where NH values are not demonstrated and assisting others to do the same.
Starting salary will be approximately from $57,347 to $71,684 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Ksyen Regional Hospital
The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, the facility features 82 beds, private rooms, and is a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.
Terrace The thriving community of Terrace is northern living at its best. Snow-capped mountains, pristine glacier-fed rivers, lakes and streams all add to the beauty of this community. The main industries in Terrace are communications, transportation and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700. There are nine elementary schools, four secondary schools, and Northwest Community College and a UNBC campus. Check out Terrace where there is always something new to experience.

Qualfications
• Diploma in Human Resources, Business or a relevant discipline;
• Two (2) to three (3) years' experience including human resources experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to demonstrate a strong customer service orientation and ability to understand and translate customer needs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use effective interpersonal skills to establish and maintain respectful relationships with staff and internal customers.

• Knowledge of process improvement tools and techniques.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
