As our HR Administrative Assistant, you'll jump right in and make this position your own with your strong administrative orientation and desire for continuous improvement. You'll play a pivotal role in providing general HR support and leading our new employee orientation program. This fast-paced environment will pair seamlessly with your ability to aptly prioritize tasks and work closely with our Talent Acquisition team to hire the best and brightest throughout our industry.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll be responsible for processing accurate information that supports the management team. This role demands well-established organizational skills, a high level of motivation and energy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working in a fast-paced team environment. Any eperience you may have providing HR support in a unionized work environment would be an asset.

A day in the life of an HR Adminstrative Assistant will include:
  • Assisting with the effective administration of the benefits program
  • Involvement in the management of the Short-Term Disability Claims program
  • Supporting the job posting process
  • Processing hourly time records
  • Maintaining grievance and employee records
  • Assisting with the recruitment process
  • Coordinating Employee Relations Activities, such as safety events, hearing tests, and United Way Campaigns
  • Providing administrative support for the division
  • Participating in and supporting safety programs and systems

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A high school diploma with a minimum of three (3) years of human resources and/or administrative experience
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with UKG/Kronos is advantageous
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in a unionized work environment would be considered an asset

The salary range for this position is: $53,500.00-$67,000.00
