Job Description
Just HR has an immediate requirement for an HR Generalist to play a key role in shaping and supporting people strategies, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and talent development. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in HR who is ready to take ownership of complex initiatives and contribute to a high-performing, people-first culture. Our client is a growing, innovative company with opportunities to drive change, optimize processes, and collaborate with leaders across the organization. This is a 3 - 6 month interim contract role that may extend or go permanent. Our client operates on a hybrid model with 3 days a week in the office based in Richmond.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures adherence to employment legislation, company guidelines, and safety standards, including managing WorkSafe BC claims, return-to-work procedures, and workplace accommodations.
- Conducts thorough workplace investigations, pinpoints potential risks, and suggests solutions to address employee relations concerns.
- Offers guidance on policy interpretation, disciplinary actions, and methods for resolving conflicts.
- Collaborates with the People & Culture team throughout the entire recruitment cycle—sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Facilitates onboarding and orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Oversees the HRIS and other systems to maintain accurate data, manage personnel records, and meet compliance requirements.
- Prepares and evaluates HR metrics related to hiring, turnover, compensation, benefits usage, and employee engagement to inform data-driven decisions.
- Assists in refining HR policies, processes, and workflows to boost effectiveness and compliance.
- Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts to create a supportive, high-performance work environment.
Remuneration:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in an HR advisor or comparable role.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Remuneration:
- Hourly Rate: $47 - $52/hr
