A fantastic, reputable, and empowering NPO (not for profit) organization is seeking a professional and empathetic Director, People and Culture to join their team. This is a strategic and dynamic role that will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR matters.

Who- the company:
Our client is a well-known and respected local NPO that has been serving the downtown community for many years. They provide basic need services, programs, and specialized support.

What- the role:
Our client is looking for a full-time, permanent Grants and Fundraising Specialistwho will be reporting directly to the Executive Director of the organization. This position will be responsible for carrying out the fund development strategy. Key responsibilities are listed below:
  • Work with Fund Development Team to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
  • Develop and implement a corporate donor engagement strategy.
  • Support the Fundraising Committee/sub-committees.
  • Participate in Board of Directors meetings to present annual planning and progress reports.
  • Research and follow up with foundations, corporations, and other community groups to evaluate potential funding sources.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of fundraising contracts.
  • Research and submit applications on behalf of the organization for new funding opportunities.
  • Work with Directors to determine fundraising operating budget.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

Who- the candidate:
We are looking for a resourceful, diligent, and passionate Fundraising professional. Qualifications listed below:
  • 3+ years relevant NPO fund development experience including donor management, grant writing and administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proficiency in donor database software and digital communication tools.
  • First Aid certificate required.

Where- the location:  

Our client is located in downtown Vancouver. This is a fully in-office position. This will be on a fortnight (reduced schedule). Every other week, this person will work 4 days a week (with Fridays off).

How much- the pay:
Commensurate with experience, the salary range for this role is between $66,000-$74,000 base salary. For other compensation details, please discuss further with SWIM.
